This service expansion reflects a total investment by the RTA Board of Commissioners of $5 million in new, restored and improved bus routes, offering more frequent connections, express buses, and seven-day a week service. One of the key goals of this bus service expansion is to provide equitable transit services for every citizen to the fullest extent our funding allows. New and Restored Service Starting September 21, new and restored bus lines will serve Algiers and Federal City, New Orleans East, Leonidas, Hollygrove, Mid-City, Treme, Gentilly, Seventh Ward, St. Roch, Desire, Gentilly Woods and Pontchartrain Park.
