Board of Commissioners

The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority is governed by the RTA Board of Commissioners. The board of commissioners determines agency policy and oversees the funding, operation, and expansion of public transportation in the city.

Eight publicly appointed representatives make up the board of commissioners. Five representatives are appointed by the Mayor of New Orleans, and three representatives are appointed by the President of Jefferson Parish.
