The publicly appointed RTA Board of Commissioners determines agency policy and oversees the funding, operation, and expansion of public transportation in the New Orleans.

The RTA Board of Commissioners meets monthly, typically the fourth Tuesday of the month from 10:00 a.m. until around 11:00 a.m. Meetings take place in the RTA boardroom, located in the RTA Facility at 2817 Canal Street in New Orleans. Click on the month to view the Board Meeting Agenda.

Meetings are open to the public. If you would like to speak at a meeting and address the board about an issue regarding the RTA, you are welcome to do so. Please arrive a little early in order to fill out a speaker’s request form. Hand it to the board secretary before the meeting begins.

Other Public Meetings

In addition to public board meetings, the RTA periodically conducts other public meetings on topics of interest to the community. Such meetings might be about service changes, ridership feedback, or paratransit services. Unless otherwise noted, these meetings take place in the RTA boardroom, located in the RTA Facility at 2817 Canal Street in New Orleans.
