Streetcar Charters
A streetcar for your exclusive use to tour beautiful downtown New Orleans via the Red Canal Streetcars; view the peaceful Mississippi River and New Orleans French Market via the Riverfront Streetcar; or the ride historical Pearly Thomas St. Charles Streetcar which travels through the Garden District.

- Route: Departs Canal Station to Riverfront, then to Canal Cemeteries, return to Canal Station

- Canal Streetcar (Riverfront to Cemeteries or Riverfront to Beauregard Circle)
- Route: Departs Canal Station to Riverfront, then to Beauregard Circle (City Park), return to Canal Station
- Rate: $750.00
- Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
- Riverfront
- Route: Departs Canal Station to Riverfront, return to Canal Station
- Rate: $750.00
- Duration: 1 hour
St. Charles
- Route: Departs Carrollton Station to St. Charles Avenue to Canal Street, return to Carrollton Station
Rate: $750.00
Duration: 1 hours 45 minutes
Prices quoted above includes the Supervisor Fee
Charterer will incur an extra charge of $75.00 for pickup or drop off along route to destination.

Availability:
- Year round, but with the following exceptions dates:
- February 16, 2010 -- Mardi Gras (2 weeks prior to Mardi Gras)
- March 17, 2010 -- St. Patrick’s Parade
- April 11, 2010 -- Crescent City Classic
- April 23 – 25, 2010 and April 29 – May 2, 2010 -- Jazz Festival
- May 31, 2010 -- Memorial Day
- August 5 – 8, 2010 -- French Quarter Festival
- September 6, 2010 -- Labor Day
- October 30 - 31, 2010 -- Voo Doo Festival
- November 1, 2010 – Voo Doo Festival
- November 25, 2010 -- Thanksgiving Day
- November 26, 2010 -- Bayou Classic
- December 25, 2010 -- Christmas
- Charters will be booked based upon availability of streetcars and personnel
- Only one charter is booked per day
Operation:
- The RTA operator or supervisor is the only individual authorized to operate the vehicle.
- The RTA operator or supervisor is required to remain with the vehicle at all times.
Food and Beverage:
- Food is permitted on the chartered vehicle.
- Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the chartered vehicle.
- All items must be in paper or plastic containers.
- Metal and glass containers are prohibited on the chartered vehicle.
Decorations:
- Allowance of 30 minutes prior to pull out for decorating
- All decorations subject to approval by the RTA.
- Attachments must be made with string.
- Decorative and adhesive sprays or adhesive type stickers may not be used.
Conduct:
- Unruly behavior or unsafe acts of passengers will result in immediate termination of service with no refund.
Injuries and Damages:
- Charterer is responsible for injuries and damages to persons, vehicles or equipment resulting from acts of passengers.
Lost Articles:
- The RTA will not be responsible for any articles left on chartered vehicle during period of charter or after charter trip is completed.
- To contact the Lost and Found department call 504-827-8399 and provide a detailed description of the item.
Terms and Conditions of Charters
- Deposit of $75.00 required 10 days after booking.
- Charter is not confirmed until deposit is received.
- Remaining balance due 3 weeks prior to charter. $75.00 deposit will be applied towards remaining balance.
- Cancellation fee of $75.00 will apply to all charters cancelled later than 4:00 PM on the last business day prior to the date of service.
- Methods of payment are cashier’s check, certified check or money order. Please make check payable to Regional Transit Authority.
- An accommodation of one charter per day is allowed.
- Chartering of a RTA streetcar must be contracted by a person of 18 years of age or older.
- The loading and unloading of any personal possessions and/or equipment is the responsibility of the chartering party.
- Unauthorized signage or any other object displayed on the interior or exterior of the vehicle is prohibited.
- Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages on the vehicles are prohibited.
- These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
Filming
The RTA is symbolic of New Orleans and of city life. It services the city with an extensive network of streetcar lines, bus routes and a specialized service for people with disabilities.
The RTA has been featured in many television commercials, documentaries as well as worldwide distributed feature films.

Cost: $750/hr (two hour minimum), a deposit of $225.00.

One hour maximum; $50.00 extra per ¼ hour over
Deposit of $75.00 required which will be applied towards remaining balance.
