RTA GoMobile, a mobile ticketing and fare collection application, is now available for free download! The app allows riders to purchase Jazzy Passes using their smartphone and display a secure visual ticket to the driver. Riders also have the ability to plan their trips, find bus and streetcar schedules and access RTA via social media and website all from within the app.
 
A group of 25 internal beta testers downloaded and tested the user acceptance version of the app in early September. Their feedback was invaluable in helping to ensure that the app had the look and features that would be beneficial to our riders.  
 
Here are a few things to know about the new GoMobile app:
 

1. 1.     Initially, tickets will be verified visually. A security measure will be that the color and four letter word will change daily.

3. 2.     The app will be available in the Apple App Store and Google Play – FREE!

5. 3.     The app will offer integrated passes. This means that riders who opt to use the app will be able to purchase passes that are valid on our busses, streetcars and ferries.

7. 4.     All passes have a 24-hour recurring validity period.

 
With launch RTA will expand the ease and convenience of purchasing passes for riders.  We are excited for the launch of GoMobile and will keep you posted regarding upcoming GoMobile events and promotions.
