RTA will provide free bus, streetcar, and ferry rides to all riders on Early Voting Saturday, October 24, as well as on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. This initiative supports access to polling sites across the city by removing transportation barriers for voters.

No voter registration proof is required to ride free on these days. Riders are encouraged to use the Le Pass app to plan their trip to the polls.

In 2020, the RTA Board of Commissioners approved a resolution adopted by the New Orleans City Council to eliminate fares on official election days, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to building an accessible transit system for all New Orleanians.
