RTA Announces Temporary Ferry Service Adjustment Due to French Quarter Festival

  • April 13th, 2023

NEW ORLEANS – Today, April 13, 2023, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., the U.S. Coast Guard has ordered a river traffic shutdown due to fireworks displays for French Quarter Fest that will require the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) to temporarily adjust the Canal Street – Algiers Point ferry service.

To allow movement of riders during the river traffic shutdown, a shuttle bus service will be provided from the intersection of Canal Street and Convention Center Boulevard.

For detours and more information regarding the temporary service suspensions, visit norta.com, download the RTA Le Pass app, or call RIDELINE at 504-248-3900.
