RTA releases its fall 2023 transit schedule

NEW ORLEANS – Today, the RTA released its fall 2023 transit schedules. The schedule takes effect Sept. 10, 2023. Additionally, the following bus routes will be adjusted:

  • 55 – Elysian Fields: Will be diverted from Press Drive to Congress Drive at Hayne Boulevard to reinstate service on Congress Drive. Only the outbound route for the line will be changed. The inbound route will remain on Press Drive. 
  • 31 - Leonidas – Gentilly / 32 - Leonidas – Treme: Will be extended to Children’s Hospital.

Riders are encouraged to pick the new dark purple transit schedules which are available in Orleans Parish at RTA buses, public libraries, and in the lobby of the Canal Street Facility located at 2817 Canal St. Riders in Jefferson Parish can pick up copies at Wilty Terminal in Gretna, and riders in St. Bernard Parish can pick up copies at the St. Bernard Parish Government Complex in Chalmette. The agency operates car and passenger ferries, fixed-route buses, paratransit, streetcar, and limited on-demand service.
