RTA to Launch Fall 2025 Service Change

Adds New Stop at DePaul Health Center
NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will implement its Fall 2025 Service Change on Sunday, September 7, bringing adjustments to select bus routes and streetcar schedules designed to improve reliability and meet the needs of riders citywide.
One important update comes in response to strong community feedback: RTA will add a new stop at DePaul Health Center in Algiers. Riders and bus operators identified this location as a priority and, after review under RTA’s Service Standards, the stop was deemed both feasible and essential. The new DePaul Health Center stop is an immediate step forward while the upcoming Algiers Improvement Plan will guide comprehensive, long-term improvements to transit on the Westbank.
“This agency is always looking for opportunities to improve service,” said Lona Edwards Hankins, RTA Chief Executive Officer. “The community requested a stop at the recently opened DePaul Health Center. We made it a priority, we made it happen as it is aligned with our value to move people to healthcare, education, and the workplace. This new stop will make it easier for people to get to care, and that’s a win for our community and for New Orleans.”
Additionally, while on detour to avoid road conditions on Vespasian Blvd., routes 114A Garden Oaks–Sullen and 114B Garden Oaks–Woodland will also serve the new DePaul Health Center stop until further notice.
Other service adjustments include:
- Route Adjustments: 31/32-Leonidas, 105-Algiers Local
- Schedule Adjustments: 46-Loyola/Rampart Streetcar, 49-Riverfront Streetcar, 66-Hayne Loop
RTA encourages all riders to view updated routes and timetables beginning September 7 at www.norta.com/service, through the Le Pass app, or by picking up new schedules at local libraries and at RTA headquarters at 2817 Canal Street.
