St. Patrick’s Day Parade

  • This parade will cause detours to the following routes.
  • All detours will begin 2 hours before the parade and continue for about 2 hours after the parade.
  • The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is expected to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, so detours should begin around 4:30 p.m.

Streetcars
#47 – Canal–Cemeteries – See service adjustment info below.
#48 – Canal–City Park/Museum – See service adjustment info below.
#49 – UPT–Riverfront – See service adjustment info below.
Buses
#11 – Magazine – See service adjustment info below.

Detours and Adjustments

#47 & #48 – Canal–Cemeteries & Canal–City Park/Museum Streetcars Service Adjustments
During the parade, the streetcars will end their trips into Downtown early, at the intersection of Canal St. & LaSalle.

  




#49 – UPT-Riverfront Streetcar Adjustments
The streetcar will travel only between French Market and Harrah’s Casino.





#11 – Magazine Adjustments
During the parade, the bus will detour only when leaving Canal St. and traveling towards Uptown / Children’s Hospital. It will take Common to Rampart, then take Poydras to St. Charles, and then return to Magazine and resume its regular route towards Children’s Hospital.
