RTA Encourages Festivalgoers to “Roll to Jazz Fest” with Convenient Transit Options

  • April 23rd, 2025

NEW ORLEANS –The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) invites residents and visitors to skip the traffic and high parking fees and instead roll to the 2025 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with RTA’s affordable and convenient transit options.

With several bus and streetcar routes serving the Fair Grounds area, RTA offers an easy, stress-free way to experience one of the city’s most iconic festivals.

Transit Options to the Fair Grounds Include:

  • Streetcar Service Near City Park
Riders can hop on the #48 City Park/Museum or #47 Canal/Cemeteriesstreetcars—both provide access to stops within walking distance of the festival grounds near City Park.
  • Esplanade Avenue Access
The #91 Jackson/Esplanade route is one of the closest options to the Fair Grounds and drops riders steps from the excitement.
  • Uptown Connections
Passengers coming from Uptown can ride the #11 Magazine Bus or #12 St. Charles Streetcar, then transfer to either the #47 or #48 streetcars to complete their trip.

 Jazzy Passes Make It Easy:

  • $3 for a 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass
  • $8 for a 3-Day Unlimited Ride Pass
  • Passes are valid on all RTA buses, streetcars, and ferries.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to download the Le Pass App to plan their trip, track real-time arrivals, and purchase digital passes. Full transit details are also available at norta.com.

“Whether you’re dancing at the Acura Stage or grooving through the Gospel Tent, we’re proud to offer a reliable, fun, and affordable way to get you there,” said RTA CEO Lona Edwards Hankins. “This is how New Orleans rolls.”
