NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority will suspend ferry service along the Canal Street – Algiers Point route on Wednesday, November 17 from 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm due to a Coast Guard approved fireworks display. Service will resume once the fireworks have ended and the vessel can safely return to its normal route. Ferry service will be extended until 10:00 pm to accommodate riders needing to cross the river.
