  • December 1st, 2025

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is continuing its commitment to engaging riders, neighbors, and stakeholders in shaping the future of public transportation. This week, the RTA will host a series of community meetings focused on capital projects, service planning, and rider feedback, and all New Orleans residents are invited to attend.

Below is the schedule of upcoming meetings:

New Orleans East Capital Projects & Planning/Scheduling Community Meeting

Tuesday, December 2
4:00 – 6:00 PM
New Orleans East Library

The RTA is returning to New Orleans East to provide updates on current and upcoming capital projects, including improvements designed to enhance service for riders in the East. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and share feedback that will shape future investments.

Riders Advisory Committee (RAC) Meeting

Wednesday, December 3
5:30 PM
RTA Boardroom

The monthly RAC meeting brings riders together with RTA leadership to discuss service issues, share comments, and provide direct input that influences system improvements. All riders are encouraged to attend and participate.

Algiers Service Improvement Plan — Phase Three

Thursday, December 4
5:00 – 7:00 PM
RTA Boardroom

The RTA extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in Phases One and Two of the Algiers Service Improvement Plan. Community input has been invaluable in shaping proposed service enhancements across the West Bank.

Phase Three offers the final opportunity for public feedback before the plan is finalized. Community members are invited to review proposed route changes and share their insights.
