RTA offers free transit to uniformed military personnel during NOLA Navy Week

  • April 17th, 2022

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority will offer free rides for uniformed military personnel during NOLA Navy Week. Uniformed military personnel can ride free from Monday, April 18 through Thursday, April 22, 2022, on all RTA buses, streetcars, and ferries.

RTA will suspend ferry service along the Canal Street – Algiers Point route on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm due to a US Coast Guard mandated river shut down for an approved fireworks display. Service will resume once the fireworks have ended and the vessel can safely return to its regular route. Ferry service along the Canal Street – Algiers Point route will be extended until 11:00 pm, with the last ferry leaving Canal Street at 10:45pm.

For more information on RTA services, riders can call Rideline at 504-248-3900 or visit www.norta.com.
