RTA Rolls into Second Free Ride Saturday — No “Bellyache,” Just a Free Ride to the Polls
- November 7th, 2025
Early voting meets easy riding as RTA covers all fares this Saturday
NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will offer free bus, streetcar, and ferry rides this Saturday, November 8, as part of its ongoing Roll to the Polls campaign helping the civic-minded getting to early voting locations with ease. Free transit will also be available on Election Day, Saturday, November 15, ensuring that transportation is never a barrier for voters.
With early voting and a major concert weekend on deck, RTA encourages everyone heading out—whether to cast a ballot or catch Billie Eilish—to plan ahead and travel safely. Riders can use the Le Pass app to map routes, track arrivals, and move through the city with ease.
Launched in 2020 and supported by both the RTA Board of Commissioners and the New Orleans City Council, this permanent fare-free program keeps access, inclusion, and community at the heart of how New Orleans rolls.
For more information, visit NORTA.com, download the Le Pass app, or call the Rideline at (504) 248-3900.
