RTA Rolls to the Finish Line with Free Rides on Election Day
- November 14th, 2025
Vote early, ride easy — buses, streetcars, and ferries are fare-free Saturday, November 15.
NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will offer free bus, streetcar, and ferry service to all riders on Election Day, Saturday, November 15, as part of its ongoing Roll to the Polls campaign.
The program helps make sure getting to the polls is never out of reach — connecting voters to polling locations across the city and encouraging every eligible New Orleanian to make their voice heard. Riders can plan their Election Day trip using the Le Pass app, available on iOS and Android devices.
Launched by the RTA Board of Commissioners in 2020 and adopted by the New Orleans City Council, this initiative makes fare-free transit on official election days a permanent part of how RTA serves the city — keeping access, inclusion, and community at the heart of how New Orleans rolls.
For more information, visit NORTA.com, download the Le Pass app, or call the Rideline at (504) 248-3900.
