Welcome to the RTA’s New Website!
- January 5th, 2011
The RTA invites you to come on board our new website. The launch of this site represents just another way the RTA is growing and working to better serve our passengers.
Take a look around. You’ll notice that the site has been redesigned with a fresh new look designed for easy navigation. In turn, that means it’s easy for you to learn your way around the RTA system. Our site also features new and expanded content to give you a rich understanding about everything related to RTA.
In addition, this site contains a host of new tools to make it simple for you to use the RTA. You’ll see how you can to take our buses and streetcars to wherever you need to be at the time you need to be there. These tools include:
- a trip planner on the home page and each and every page that tells you the best route from where you are to where you want to go
- a system map that gives you a bird's-eye view of the RTA system and shows you how all the lines interconnect
- a system status page to alert you when one of your favorite routes is experiencing delays
- a service nearby tool to let you know where you can find the RTA stops that are the closest to any address you enter
- a My RTA section where you can tell us your favorite routes and we will text or email you if there are any service delays on those routes.
Coming soon, the site will also feature:
- an online tool that tells you when your next bus or streetcar is scheduled to arrive
- an online store that lets you order Jazzy Passes online
- an expanded procurement page for our vendors and business partners
Need to access RTA info on the go? No problem. Just enter www.norta.com in your mobile phone browser. You will get schedules, maps, and service alerts right on your mobile phone! Everything will optimized for your handheld screen. Later this summer, you will be able to see when the next bus will arrive at your bus or streetcar stop, right on your mobile phone!
We invite you take out your mobile phone to try it now. Or try out our new rider tools. Or read about the RTA’s past or about our current improvements and future projects. There’s so much on the new web and mobile sites to make your time spent traveling with us more convenient and enjoyable!
