New Orleans, LA – The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority Board of Commissioners voted today to advance the fourth-ranked candidate into the final stage of its CEO search after one of the original three finalists withdrew. The Board’s action maintains a field of three finalists: Justin T. Augustine III, Mark A. Major, and Reginald A. “Reggie” Mason.  

“Each finalist now has a chance to share their vision for RTA with the community and speak directly with the Board about the challenges and opportunities ahead,” said RTA Board Chair Ann Duplessis. “That will help us make a well-informed decision in October.”  

The finalists will engage with local transit experts and the New Orleans community ahead of the Board’s October 27 meeting. Details of those opportunities will be shared as they are confirmed.  

At its October 27 meeting, the Board plans to conduct final interviews in executive session, as permitted by law, then return to open session to vote on its selection for RTA’s next Chief Executive Officer.
