The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority Board of Commissioners is conducting a national search for RTA’s next Chief Executive Officer. The Board engaged KL2 Connects, LLC, a transit executive recruitment firm, to identify and evaluate qualified candidates from across the country. | May 2026 | The Board began the process of selecting RTA’s next Chief Executive Officer and engaged KL2 Connects to conduct a national search. |
| August 13, 2026 | KL2 Connects, LLC presented the Board with information on the five semifinalists identified through the search process. |
| August 29, 2026 | The Board interviewed all five semifinalists and publicly voted to advance three candidates. View press release. |
| September 15, 2026 | The Board was notified that one of the final three candidates had withdrawn from consideration. |
Next Steps
- At its September 22, 2026 meeting, the Board will consider a resolution to advance the next-ranked candidate from the original group of five, restoring the candidate pool to three. If the resolution is approved, the three candidates will move forward to in-person interviews.
- October 2026: The Board expects to select and announce RTA’s next CEO.
